Score 96/100 · Drink 2030-2060, Neal Martin, Sep 2024

The 2020 Chambertin Grand Cru has a very pure bouquet, slightly floral and beautifully defined with seamlessly integrated oak. This blossoms in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a good grip. You could argue that it doesn't quite match up to the aromatics at this point, maybe due to its infancy. It is tightly coiled, not muscular, but there is just a bit of sinew. Afford this impressive Chambertin five or six years in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
