A blend of the six vineyards/wines that comes in at around 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 The Ultimate delivers a whirling mix of cherries, berries and cassis leavened by hints of herbs and earth. Medium to full-bodied, this appears better than any of the standalone wines this vintage, not something that should be taken lightly. It's certainly more complex on the nose, with a lovely texture somewhere between silk and velvet, and it does possess a lingering, vibrant finish.
