Score 90/100 · Drink 2020-2028, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2018

From a limestone-clay terroir between Oppenheim and Nierstein, the 2016 Paterberg Pinot Noir GG is very intense and aromatic on the currently fruit-driven (blackberries!) nose. Fresh and very fruity on the silky-textured palate, this is a refined and well-structured Pinot from the Rhine front. My sample was slightly oxidized after the bottle had been poured several times that Sunday during the GG preview tasting in Wiesbaden in August 2018. Provisional score.
