Tasting notes
OMG. Blackberries, blackcurrants, blueberries, licorice, and spearmint. Mint, too. Full-bodied, so tight and poised with super tightness and focus. Phenomenal depth and composure. This shows real Napa character that harkens back to the Heitz Marthaâs 1968. Benchmark to consider. Better after 2023.

Dick Grace and winemaker Helen Keplinger follow their superb 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon with an equally stellar wine in 2016. Muscular, deep and built for the long haul, the 2016 is arrestingly beautiful. Black cherry, graphite, menthol and licorice are some of the many notes that come alive in a Cabernet of real power, depth and gravitas. Readers should be in no hurry to open the 2016, even though the wine is magnificent in the early going.
