Score 87/100 · Drink 2023-2033, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Aug 2023

Kracher's intensely yellow-colored, stainless steel-fermented 2021 Auslese Cuvée blends Welschriesling and Chardonnay and opens with intensely fruity and spicy notes with overripe and spicy botrytis as well as candied fruit notes that are not crystal clear, though (this was made with 30% to 40% botrytis). Relatively dense and spicy on the palate, with good grip and attractive honey notes, this is a mouth-filling yet light and elegant sweet wine with minty notes on the savory finish. This is excellent with blue cheese. 11% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in Lütjensee, Hamburg, in June 2023.
