Tasting notes
Fritz Becker's 2018 Pinot Noir Heydenreich GG is intense in its warm and fine bouquet of fully ripe black berries, forest floor, leather, horse stable, cold smoke and spices. The dark-toned nose becomes more generous, intense and seductive with time in the glass. Supple, intense and silky on the vibrantly fresh and juicy palate, this is a kind of Pfalz Tondonia: finely but firmly structured, elegant and fresh, with leather aromas and the lingering salinity and energy of a great limestone terroir. A great, dense and sustainable Pinot Noir from Germany. Tasted in Wiesbaden at the end of August 2021.

Maybe the best pinot noir ever made in the Pfalz! Ravishing nose thatâs bursting with sour and black cherries, forest berries and delicate, rooty notes. The stunning sweetness of fruit on the full-bodied palate is matched by a near-perfect tannin structure and acidity that miraculously makes this super abundance feel delicate and restrained. The intensity builds and builds at the super-long, silky finish. Drink or hold.
