2018 Merlot Riserva Siebeneich

Here's dark and nicely concentrated Merlot. The Cantina Produttori Bolzano 2018 Alto Adige Merlot Riserva Siebeneich feels warm over the palate, and this effect is backed by the wine's 14.5% alcohol content. There's ample ripe fruit with plum, prune and black cherry. This vintage goes a bit too far in terms of ripeness and softness in my view, so I'd suggest a near-term drinking window as a result. Some 12,000 bottles were made.
