Score 90/100 · Drink 2020-2033, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2017
The 2015 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir comes from a hectare of 25-year-old vines and is raised entirely in oak barrels, 20% new. It was one of many grand crus to demonstrate reduction on the nose; therefore, it was difficult to see the terroir here. The palate is sweet and honeyed on the entry, although it gains more precision on the second half, albeit the oak comes through quite strongly. It is quite a lush, tropical Vaudésir, not profound, but it should evolve into something more interesting.
