Tasting notes
From one of the AOP’s oldest vineyards on steep, south-facing slopes. Clay and siliceous-calcareous soils. Fermented in wooden vats. Soft and generously sweet on the palate, showing off its prime southerly aspect. But the fruit is pure, refined and has filigree tannins. High class, you could enjoy this now. (AWH)

Powerful, deep and brooding, the 2022 Clos du Chêne Vert is rich and sweet while maintaining a lightness on its feet. This doesn't become heavy despite its ripeness and expansivity. The 2022 exudes black cherry and chocolate notes with an appetizing hint of bitterness. There is both generosity and finesse of tannins here combined with gently refreshing acidity, length and precision. This is long, savory and will go on and on. The 2022 is a completely different expression compared to the 2021.
