Tasting notes
The 2021 La Fleur de Boüard has more fruit intensity on the nose than the Le Lion, yet there is a touch of reduction here that detracts from its delineation and brightness. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity and a little chewiness toward the finish, but there is a sense of energy and sapidity that draws you back for more.

A classy, elegant wine, 2021 La Fleur de Boüard is just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel. Succulent red plum, orange peel, grilled herbs, rose petal and spice give the 2021 tons of nuance. Bright acids pull it all together on the close. This is a very fine effort.
The 2021 La Fleur de Boüard, a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, exudes a dark, concentrated bouquet with aromas of spices, oak, earth and baked blackberries. Medium-bodied, concentrated and rich, it has structured tannins and a long, powerful finish.
Racy, vibrant nose full of brambly berries, currants, red plums, mineral and white pepper spices. Juicy and fluid on the palate with fresh, fine tannins and a crunchy, nuanced finish. Lovely red for early drinking. Drink now.
