Score 97/100 · Drink 2022-2037, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Jul 2022

The 2019 Pinot Noir Coastlands Vineyard is incredibly fragrant and expressive! Its aromas range from raspberry jam and pomegranate to deeper tones of seaweed and graphite, with accents of conifer, Angostura bitters, lavender and licorice. Powerfully flavored yet delicately framed, it's powdery, uplifted and fresh, with layer after layer of woodsy, pleasantly herbal fruits, and it finishes with incredible length. This 2019 offers that rare balance of expression, power and delicacy that defines the very best Sonoma Coast Pinot Noirs.

Fresh and woodsy, this wine is exquisite in pomegranate, rhubarb and cherry aromas. Fresh and full of verve, it delves into mineral-like hints of slate and crushed rock, the texture crunchy and complex, with a balanced richness and white pepper finish. — Virginie Boone

Coming from a distinctive site that produces low-yield clusters of small, seedless berries. An inviting nose of dark fruit and berries, fresh and dried violets, oregano and sage. Full-bodied with presence and weight on the palate. The acidity is very energetic and racing, allowing the dark fruit to lift up and show good nuance. Black peppercorn, allspice and nutmeg come through. Delicious. Best after 2024.
