The 2015 Le Cygne from Château Fonreaud, matured in 30 to 40% new oak, has a well defined bouquet with light tropical tones, light peachy scents mixed with dried honey. The palate is quite effervescent on the entry, orange sorbet and citrus peel notes, quite leesy with a touch of rosewater towards the finish. Fine for an unpretentious white Bordeaux. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux.

The 2015 Le Cygne de Fonreaud has an expressive and intense bouquet with freshly picked gooseberry, nettle and lime scents soaring from the glass. The palate is fresh and crisp, plenty of lime and passion fruit notes coming through, more feisty and finessed with a dash of lemongrass on the finish. There are not many white Listrac wines around, but this certainly shows that they have potential. This is worth taking a look at.
