2021 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie

The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Maltroie 1er Cru comes from two parcels on deeper clay soils. It is much more backward on the nose, crushed chalk filtering through the citrus fruit, orange rind and a hint of frangipane. The palate is well balanced with another electrifying line of acidity as if this wine is plugged directly into the mains. Very powerful and long on the finish. Stunning.
