Tasting notes
The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Cras 1er Cru was picked 1 October. This was showing some reduction on the nose that made it tricky to read. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, quite "solid", a bit more sinew than expected, but the finish needs to muster a little more detail.

The 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras has turned out very well, offering up aromas of rose petals, raspberries, plums, orange zest and spices, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and seamless palate that's fleshy and melting, concluding with a mouthwatering, perfumed finish.
Négociant fruit. Harvested 1 October 2021. Cask sample . Clear, bright mid ruby. A touch of smoky reduction. Ripe red fruits, very fine powdery tannins. Medium-bodied and moderate intensity. Solid length. (MH)
