Tasting notes
Previously sampled and reviewed earlier this year, the 2017 The Glass Collection Cabernet Sauvignon offers up elements of blackberry and dark plum with a soft component of dried herbs on the nose, expressing hints of mint and rosemary along with aromas of dark cherry skin and dusty florals. Medium-bodied, the wine offers a balanced and open-knit structure, ending with a straightforward finish with lasting flavors of black cherry and bitter dark chocolate. Keenly priced, the expression has come together nicely since the last time I sampled this bottling.

The 2017 Glass Collection Cabernet Sauvignon is matured in new and second-fill 300-liter barrels. It has a menthol-scented bouquet of black cherries and bilberry fruit. The palate is well balanced with powdery tannins and dusty black fruit. The tarry finish feels a little drier than I would have liked. Drink over the next two or three years.
