Score 93/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Feb 2021

The 2019 From the North Mourvèdre is sourced from a sandy site planted to vines in 1869. Weighing in at just 12.8% alcohol, it nevertheless comes across as plummy and ripe, with hints of blueberries and spice. Medium-bodied, it's rich and concentrated, marked by substantial tannins, but it still shows ample length on the finish. Despite being made with 100% whole clusters, the stems aren't obvious as a separate component, and with only three months in older oak, there's no discernible oak. Impressive.
