Score 87/100 · Drink 2005-2011, Robert Parker, Apr 2005
This medium-weight, elegant St.-Emilion exhibits this estate’s tell-tale toasty oak along with medium body, sweet black currant and cherry fruit, and hints of cigar smoke and Provencal herbs. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

Very, very deep crimson. Gamey, animal nose. Round and sweet and thick. Needs a bit more race. Heavy, oaky finish. (JR)

Dark purplish crimson. Gassy nose – very much work in progress. Full whack of ripe fruit on the front palate, then rather sweet, charming follow-through but there is too much oak astringency on the finish for the fruit. Semi-pastiche? Dry, hollow finish. (JR)
