The 2014 Lune d'Or has a fragrant bouquet with menthol-tinged citrus fruit, quite vibrant and effervescent with touches of blood orange emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied and well-balanced, with a tangy, spicy opening, good weight with well-integrated oak towards the finish. More weight than the 2013, this is showing beautifully.

The 2014 Lune d'Or is also performing well, exhibiting aromas of crisp orchard fruit, dried white flowers, nectarine and hints of oyster shell. Medium to full-bodied, lively and saline, it's fine-boned and elegant, concluding with a saline finish.
The 2014 Lune d'Or is the top bottling in this range of whites. Soft, textured and inviting, it offers plenty of immediacy and richness, with the Sémillon very much front and center. As good as the 2014 is, it is also heavily marked by oak.
The 2014 Lune d'Or is a selection of the best lots and is rendered entirely in barrel. Here it is the wine's textural breath and resonance that stands about all else. Layers of creamy Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc fruit build to the rich, voluptuous finish. The Lune d'Or was still in barrel at the time of my tastings. It appears to have a very bright future. Tasted three times.
