Destemmed. 15% new oak. Tank sample. Mid-to-deep crimson. Dark-fruited and slightly peppery, with a hint of oak spice. Smells and tastes slightly riper than the Bois Roussot, the tannins smoother, too. I prefer the vibrancy of the Bois Roussot but this is equally harmonious. (JH)
