Score 86/100 · Drink 2018-2022, Neal Martin, May 2019

The 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge offers light, clean brambly red fruit on the nose, a little introverted at first but opening nicely and eschewing the rusticity sometimes found in red Chassagnes. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannin, dark berry fruit mixed with cola leading to a slightly short, herbaceous yet fresh finish. Drink now. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.
