Tasting notes
The 2021 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a more marine-scented bouquet with touches of oyster shell and sea spray. Very fine delineation, perhaps a little Perrières-like in style. However, returning after 10 minutes, I find some cork taint. The palate is fresh and taut, stony and linear yet that TCA ruthlessly dismantles what was a promising wine out of barrel. Annoying. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a complex nose, sporting a clever reduction, well defined with honeysuckle, grilled walnut and hazelnut scents. The palate is taut and crisp with fine delineation, fanning out with a sense of confidence towards its saline finish. Excellent.
