Tasting notes
Diamond Creek's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow is defined by a sense of translucency and lift that is compelling. Medium in body and light on its feet, the 2014 is all about persistence. Here, too, the tannins are remarkably soft and polished for such a young Diamond Creek wine. Hints of lavender, plum, violet, spice and mint add character to a wine that speaks to finesse more than pure power.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow offers up an opaque purple-black color and is profoundly scented of crème de cassis, plum preserves and mocha with hints of tar, black pepper, Indian spices and balsamic. Full-bodied, rich and decadent in the mouth, it delivers an incredible depth of fruit and earthy flavors, with a solid backbone of fine-grained tannins and great freshness, finishing long and earthy.
