The 2002 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Tamisot has a high-toned and rather "ersatz" bouquet compared to its peers. The palate is soft and mushroomy, fully mature but lacking tension and precision, quite dull on the finish. Tasted at Sarah Marsh MW’s 2002 Red Burgundy tasting.

Mid ruby. Slight hint of coffee cream on the nose – a sweet oak thing? Fresh and lively – lots of Côte de Nuits drive – and sufficient fruit and charm even if not exactly detailed and subtle. Very workmanlike. I may be under-scoring this…? (JR)
