Tasting notes
Smoky, mineral nose. Then quite sweet and peachy on the palate but it tightens up on the end. It certainly still has some life in it, though I’m aware of the alcohol on the finish. (JR)

Looking at the 2018 Condrieu Les Vieilles Vignes De Jacques Vernay, it’s showing just a hint of evolution and is drinking brilliantly, with classic notes of grilled peach, orange blossom, honeysuckle, and powdered rock. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and just sensationally textured, it’s a seamless as they come and just about a perfect Condrieu.
Ogier's 2018 Condrieu les Vieilles Vignes de Jacques Vernay boasts majestic, soaring aromas of jasmine, peach, pineapple and white pepper. Despite being medium to full-bodied, it comes across as fresh, airy and very drinkable, with a lovely, silky mouthfeel and tremendous persistence. It's easily the equal of the 2016 version.
