Score 86/100 · Drink 1992-1999, Robert Parker, Oct 1992

The young Philippe Engel continues to show a more confident hand when it comes to making stylish red burgundies. The Echezeaux is typically light and well-delineated, with excellent ripeness, medium body, and a floral, raspberry and cherry-scented nose with subtle oak in the background. It, too, requires drinking in its first 6-7 years of life. Various American importers.
