Tasting notes
The 2018 Blocks Road Cabernet Sauvignon is leafy and purple, with a chassis of very fine tannin. The flavor through the finish tapers off rather quietly, showing less ambition for long-term aging than I would have expected. It matured for 16 months in French oak. There are notes of freshly tanned leather, pastille and cedary oak.

Deep, brilliant violet. Aromas of cherry pit, cassis, succulent herbs and vanilla, along with building floral and spice accents. Shows good depth but plenty of energy as well, offering juicy black and blue fruit flavors that slowly tighten up through the back half. Youthfully firm tannins add grip to a long, focused finish that strongly repeats the cherry and floral notes.
