0.53 ha (1.31 acres). Mid cherry. Elegant red and dark-red fruit and florals. Raspberry for nuance. After the Échezeaux, this turns the dial back down again with a very silken, ‘feminine’, elegance. Salty finish, driven on and underlain by fresh, filigree acidity. (MH)

The 2020 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru was cropped at a derisory seven hectoliters per hectare, and yet, the wine remains remarkably classically proportioned, without the compact profile and exaggerated concentration that vineyards cropped at such low yields can often produce. Mingling aromas of cherries, raspberries and plums with hints of sweet spices, rose petals and creamy oak, it's full-bodied, layered and sensual, with a deep, enveloping mid-palate, tangy acids and a long, mineral finish. This is Lachaux's finest Latricières to date.
