(this 1.5-hectare holding features a range of vine ages, the youngest parcel planted in 1982): Dark ruby-red. Aromas of black cherry and licorice are lifted by an element of crushed stone. Dense, rich and fresh, showing a more refined, less chunky texture than the CNV as well as greater inner-mouth energy. Delivers a superb combination of sucrosité and lift. Finishes with strong, dusty tannins that avoid dryness. An excellent village wine

Dark crimson. Light, well-balanced nose. Masses of ripe fruit with attractive bitter-cherry finish. Sinewy. Good green-leaf freshness though certainly ripe enough. Very long and lively. GV (JR)

(40% new oak; from vines on rocky soil just across from the house and winery in the middle of the village): Dark ruby-red. Very reticent but pure scents of purple fruits, minerals and licorice; an essence of Gevrey-Chambertin. Sharply delineated, extremely tight and primary, but also with exceptional fullness for village wine. These 2015s are all fruit bombs but this one boasts terrific chalky minerality to go with its gras . The rising, very long finish features serious tannins that will require serious aging. A portion of these vines dates back to 1934. Another outstanding village wine.
