Score 94/100 · Drink 2018-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Feb 2018
The 2013 Vaucluse is another kitchen sink blend from Bressy that includes 30% Grenache and 30% Mourvèdre, with the balance Counoise, Carignan, Syrah, Cinsault, Vaccarèse, and Terret Noir. Its deeper ruby/plum color is followed by a meaty, peppery, classic wine that offers medium to full-bodied notes of currants, herbs and earth. It has a terrific sense of wildness, a great mid-palate, ripe tannin and a great finish. It should drink nicely for 10-15 years. The 2013 vintage was cool and challenging for the southern Rhône, but this is a beautiful wine, one of the best in the vintage.
