Score 89/100 · Drink 2021-2037, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Feb 2020

The 2017 Pommard Les Petits Noizons is showing very well, unfurling in the glass with aromas of wild berries, smoked meats, rich soil tones, cinnamon and spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, delicate and fine-boned, its perfumed core of fruit framed by powdery tannins and ripe acids. This is an elegant, gently reductive Pommard that should offer a broad drinking window.

The 2017 Pommard Les Petits Noizons contains 45% whole bunches this year. It has quite an ebullient bouquet of raspberry and subtle gamy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and a fine bead of acidity, and the stem addition is quite superbly disguised. There is something almost New Zealand-like about this Pinot Noir - and I say that as a compliment. Fine.
