Tasting notes
From the Mainterrassen (Main River terraces) the bright, lemon-colored 2023 Riesling Trocken shows clear, ripe and precise Riesling, apricot and mirabelle fruit. The palate is clear, pure, fresh and saline, showing precise, white and lush stone-fruit flavors that also populate the finish. 100,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in May 2024 with 12.5% stated alcohol and a screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024.

The 2023 Riesling was harvested mostly in Mainz-Kostheim and Hochheim, fermented both in stainless steel and 5000-liter barrel. Juicy peach and a wealth of stone fruit burst from the glass. The palate follows suit but adds pink grapefruit zestiness alongside a lovely pithy texture, channeling all this fruit into freshness. The finish is zesty and exciting. (Dry)
Exciting, nervy wine with almost coconut notes! Chock-full of flavour. So much fruit that the dry finish is absolutely fine. GV ? (JR)
