Score 95/100 · Drink 2030-2055, Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate, Oct 2025

The 2023 IGP Vaucluse rouge is a striking, perfumed effort that showcases the complexity and finesse of this biodynamically farmed, mix-planted cuvée. A flamboyant bouquet of violets, lilac, crushed flowers, fresh licorice, pepper and dark cherries rises from the glass, gaining further nuance with air as notes of dark berries and garrigue emerge. Medium- to full-bodied, it’s broad and layered on the palate, with a fleshy, seamless core of fruit that remains vibrant and lifted. The finish is long and polished, defined by velvety tannins and a fine-grained, sapid texture. This sumptuous, characterful wine should evolve gracefully over the coming decade and beyond.
