Fruit for this wine comes from the Bricco di Treiso MGA and immediately shows more softness and textural definition. The 2019 Barbaresco Il Bricco is layered and rich with black fruit, spice, tar and a sweet hint of cinnamon. Il Bricco offers more overall power and structure for longer cellar aging. Pairing possibilities include wintery foods. Production is exactly 7,186 bottles, with larger formats as well.

There is a more depth to the 2019 Barbaresco Il Bricco, although it is equally potent in its expressive perfume of licorice, leather, turned soil, and wild berries. Medium-bodied, with more ripeness, depth, and purity in its notes of red berries, tea leaf, and turned earth, it is long and persistent and has a great finish with present tannins. Drink over the next 12-15 years. This is all about perfume and incense.

This 2019 expression is characteristically pale in colour with an elegant, nuanced nose of rose petal, violet and truffle and the palate shows substantial, yet soft tannins and a focused acidity.
