Score 94/100 · Drink 2024-2033, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jun 2024
The 2021 Pinot Nero Case Via was done entirely in amphora, with 30-40% stems, and then aged in French oak barrels (about 10% new). It offers gorgeous fruit intensity in a mid-weight style that is quite appealing. I can't say it is especially varietal, but the pedigree of Panzano and the vintage carry this beautifully.
