Score 92/100 · Drink 2024-2035, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2022

From a more meager plot in the Frühlingsplätzchen and vinified in stück for about 18 months on the fine lees, the 2019 Grauburgunder –R– offers a clear and elegant bouquet with sweet cherry and brioche aromas. On the palate, this is a rich and intense but elegant and savory Pinot Gris with concentrated fruit, enormously salinity and mineral tension and lots of elegant power. To be released in September this year, this is a tight and very long Pinot Gris that still would benefit from another year or two in the bottle. Natural cork. 13.5% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.
