The Tenuta Regaleali Tasca d'Almerita 2022 Sicilia Chardonnay Vigna San Francesco is a fleshed-out and creamy white wine with almond paste, poached apple and lemon mouse. It offers good acidity and a hint of dried mint over a medium-plus mouthfeel. The Vigneto San Francesco was planted in 1985 and enjoys southeast exposures. This wine is oak-fermented (Allier and Tronçais) and aged in oak barrel (with 70% new oak and 30% second-use barrel) for eight months. This is a 36,000-bottle release.

The palate is soothingly round and supple, with ripe orchard fruits underscored by tactile mineral tones as a minty herbal resonance evolves toward the close. Structured yet fresh, it tapers off with medium length and nuances of apricot that linger.
