The 2020 Langhe Rosso is mostly from young vines in Pira, which in this case means vines under 30 years of age. Sweet floral overtones meld into a core of dried red cherry fruit, cedar, pipe tobacco, mint and crushed flowers. Deceptively light in body, the Langhe Rosso offers lovely tension and energy. This is a relatively open-knit style for Roagna and a fabulous introduction to the house style.

About the producer

Roagna
Roagna is one of Italy’s finest estates, producing top, single-vineyard Nebbiolos in Barbaresco and Barolo. The estate’s Crichët Pajé Barbaresco is one of the rarest fine wine cuvées in Piedmont with fewer than 2,000 bottles produced each year.
