Score 86/100 · Drink 2002-2007, Pierre Rovani, Apr 2002
The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Malbec Reserva has a sweet, spicy, blackberry and grape-scented nose. It is medium-bodied, boasts a velvety texture, and is loaded with flavor. Assorted dark fruits and roasted spices can be found in its personality. Although the finish is short and firm, this wine delivers copious amounts of fruit. This is a good value. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Importer: Schieffelin & Somerset, Co., New York, NY; tel. (212) 251-8337.
