Tasting notes
Utterly expressive apricot and peach yoghurt character. Total clarity of fruit, plus a burnt-sugar note on the finish. Tastes like it should be sweet, but the finish is dry (of course) and refreshing. (RH)

Vivid yellow. High-pitched aromas of lime, quince and white flowers, with a mineral element building with air. Juicy and precise, showing intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors accompanied by notes of fennel and honeysuckle. Concentrated yet lithe Condrieu with excellent finishing clarity and resonating floral and lime notes.
A blockbuster effort and the finest vintage to date, the 2013 Condrieu la Combe de Malleval offers loads of stone fruits, peaches, mineral, licorice and almond paste to go with a full-bodied, deep and concentrated style on the palate. A blend of two different vineyards, it opens up beautifully in the glass, has classic minerality and stunning purity of fruit. Drink it over the coming 2-4 years.
