Berry Bros' best-selling line 'for many decades'. Dark, concentrated crimson. Intense and ripe. This may be gussied up but it delivers on the nose. Good balance with relatively soft tannins and only just enough acidity but it works. Well done! It's not the most complex or cellar-worthy but is certainly ready and easy to drink. (JR)

Blackcurrant and cedar – bang on for the origin, really delivers the savoury bordeaux scent. Slightly metallic note on the palate is the only drawback, betraying the (comparative) cheapness. (RH)
