Tasting notes
Good full red. Musky red raspberry and spice aromas lifted by a topnote of orange peel. Sappy, suave and opulent on the palate, with raspberry and crushed stone flavors complicated by an exotic citrus component. Finishes broad, sweet and long, with lovely floral lift and perfume.

Muddy crimson. Quite pale. Slightly stewed fruit on the nose. Some delicacy on the palate but it doesn’t quite hang together. Made rather than grown. Quite a bit of oak influence. (JR)
About the producer

Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
