Tasting notes
The 2020 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru appears to possess more oak on the nose, and at the moment, this obscures some of the terroir expression compared to its peers. The palate is showing a bit of oak at the moment, but it is not too obtrusive and will be subsumed with time. Peppery in style towards the finish, I admire the persistence of this En Remilly, and it should age well in bottle. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Derived from fully five different parcels in this large and diverse climat, the 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly offers up aromas of citrus oil and peach mingled with freshly baked bread, white flowers and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's lively and precise, with fine depth at the core and a long, saline finish. It's a real success this year.
The 2020 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru unfurls beautifully in the glass, revealing scents of honeysuckle, white tea, jasmine and dried honey, all very well defined. The well-balanced palate shows a touch of reduction on the entry, veins of white chocolate/praline infusing the citrus fruit, and a touch of toffee apple on the concentrated finish. Excellent.
