Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2022-2038, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Pommard Les Epenots is a blend of Grand and Petit Epenots, including 10% whole clusters and matured in 50% new oak. It has a lively bouquet that opens in the glass, touches of black cherry and boysenberry fruit and a touch of vanilla pod developing with aeration. It just clams up toward the finish, which shows a little too much oak at the moment.
