Medium reddish-amber. Aromas of cherry, cola, tar and root beer; showed a smoky, salty character as it opened in the glass. Sweet, tangy flavors of redcurrant, earth and charred oak. Slightly dry-edged finish shows good persistence.

Saturated full, bright red. Rather Vosne-like aromas of bitter cherry, violet, minerals and dark chocolate. Sweet, supple and vibrant, with intense, pure dark berry flavors nicely framed by ripe acids. Shows excellent backbone. Suave, long finish features repeating notes of violet and bitter chocolate.
