Tasting notes
Medium-deep ruby-purple colored, the 2009 10X Pinot Noir has pronounced black cherry, pomegranate and red currant aromas with some cranberry and a touch of underbrush. Medium bodied, it has a good amount of pure berry flavors, medium level of fine tannins, a nice acid lift and a long finish. Drinking now, it should remain fresh to 2015. Established in 1999, in 2004 this property was acquired by Martin Spedding who has taken an active role in the winemaking and given the whole range a quality injection. The wines are skillfully and naturally crafted at Moorooduc. Production is small at 5-6000 cases per year. With some seriously interesting single vineyard Chardonnays and Pinots already being produced here, this is name to watch. Ten Minutes By Tractor does not currently have a USA importer.
