Score 90/100 · Drink 2022-2032, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2021

The 2017 Gratius is powerful and dark in the glass. Black fruit, chocolate, new leather, spice and lavender infuse the 2017 with notable depth and fleshiness. The Gratius doesn't quite have the singularity of some of the best wines in the range, but it is unquestionably well done.

Full-bodied and layered with attractive, ripe tannins and plenty of plum and berry character. Hint of sandalwood, too. Juicy and soft. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but better in a year or two.
