They ripped out all the Cabernet Sauvignon when they arrived. This is a single vineyard at 480 m with 90% Sangiovese plus Canaiolo and Colorino, co-fermented in wood. ‘We want an almost rustic florality.’ Aged 27 months in barrique and tonneau. Fewer than 5,000 bottles made each year. Very deep crimson. Firm and structured. Lots of chew. Saline and real line. Good texture. (JR)

I love the richness to the delicious sangiovese character here with dried red berries, Christmas cake, roasted herbs, cedar and tobacco. Medium to full body, round and ripe yet structured tannins and a long, chewy finish. Shows density but freshness to boot. Drink from 2021.
