Owned by the Quié family of Château Rauzan-Gassies, the 2019 Bel-Orme Tronquoy de Lalande offers up aromas of jammy berries, petals and cherries, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping wine that represents a charming, fruit-driven effort from this 35-hectare estate.

The 2019 Bel Orme Tronquoy de Lalande (from the proprietors of Rauzan-Gassies) has an outgoing crème de cassis and blackcurrant pastille scented bouquet - quite high-toned but retaining delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, layers of toasty black fruit laced with black pepper and cedar. It is quite punchy and grippy on the finish. Give it three or four years in bottle.
