Mid salmon. Lightly cheesy nose but then fairly frank fruit. A bit chunky; marmalade-like. (JR)

Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2018-2021, Richard Hemming MW, jancisrobinson.com, May 2018

First sparkling release from this ambitious English producer. 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Meunier. Disgorged February 2018. Dosage 2.5 g/l. 5,100 bottles produced. Pale salmon colour – very Provençal. Faint, retiring nose with a faint hint of red fruit. Less autolytic than the Blanc de Blancs, but there is still a leesy weight to the texture, if not to the flavour. Delicate floral scent on the finish but the fruit is more citric than red. Good technical balance with moderate length. (RH)
