The 2020 Riesling Ürziger Würzgarten Kabinett (White Capsule) shows ripe and aromatic fruit on the somewhat imprecise nose. On the palate, this is a crystalline, saline and aromatic wine, but on the finish, it is an unusually bitter Würzgarten that lacks a bit of substance and harmony and doesn't have the intensity, tension and structure of the dry Domprobst or even the Klosterberg Kabinett. 10.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.

Fresh and subtle nose of peach, chalk and garden herbs. Succulent and racy with medium-dry balance, this Mosel Kabinett has a ton of mineral freshness and energy at the long finish. Drink or hold.
